JESUS AND THE FISHERMEN LECTERN
4'h x 5'w - Work in progress, shown in clay
The lectern will be bronze upon completion, with a verdigris patina and golden highlights. A clear glass top will hold the Holy Gospel, and each panel will be back lit with blue stained glass.
"Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." (Matthew 4:19)
Seagulls swooping white wings flapping, noisy fish mongers
wrapped in blue clear sky squawking squealing alerting...
Fish!
Fish wrapped in watery bubbles and net and rainbow, splashing
light shines on slick fish scales
and on wet strong arms of men (not your average) muscles pulling and straining against weight of net and creaking boat and fish and water (and annoying seagulls)..
Suddenly working hands unclench, net and fish and commotion fly away... hands and hearts choosing
in an instant to heed the call of love from Love, voice from the One on shore...
Come, follow Me.
